Maggie St Clair
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

As director of development at the Colorado Fiscal Institute, Maggie leads the organization’s fundraising efforts, helping secure the support necessary to advance people-centered, equitable fiscal and economic policy across Colorado. She came to CFI in 2025 with a deep commitment to equity and access and a proven track record in nonprofit development.
She previously worked at Energy Outreach Colorado, advancing energy affordability, and at Special Olympics Colorado, advocating for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Maggie holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Knox College and is an alum of the Institute for Leaders in Development at the University of Denver.
In her spare time, Maggie enjoys exploring Denver’s many coffee shops with her wife and their dog, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, and cooking vegetarian meals. She also volunteers with the Colorado Symphony and other local nonprofits.
