William Ashford

William is a summer public interest fellow entering his junior year at Colorado College studying international political economy. Since arriving in Colorado Springs from Takoma Park, Maryland, William has been involved in community service in the nonprofit sector and on Colorado College’s campus. He has interned at Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains and Pikes Peak United Way, and he currently co-chairs a campus club that supports culturally and linguistically diverse students in District 11 schools.
After working extensively at the grassroots level of impact, William is excited to step into the state Capitol and learn more about how innovative fiscal policy can be used to fund impactful initiatives that uplift all Coloradans. He looks forward to supporting community outreach for the Protect Colorado Future Coalition’s Initiative 195 ballot initiative, as well as CFI’s funding and development team.
In his free time, William loves exploring the state’s beautiful nature, road-tripping in his Toyota Prius and jogging in Denver’s many local parks.
