The Colorado Independent quotes CFI on suspension of ballot measure
CFI’s Executive Director, Carol Hedges, was quoted in a piece by The Colorado Independent announcing the suspension of a ballot measure that would have given Colorado a 10 year break from TABOR. Despite Colorado’s well performing economy and fast growing population, we fall behind in many key priorities like education and transportation. These poor rankings are in part due to the limitations TABOR places on our state budget. This measure would have allowed us to keep all tax revenue to help fund key priorities, instead of giving rebates if the inflation plus population cap was exceeded.
