CFI was cited by The Christian Science Monitor on TABOR’s fine print and how it affects marijuana tax revenues. Since lawmakers miscalculated marijuana tax revenue projections, the state is required to refund the non-earmarked revenue to the taxpayers. Many lawmakers are now trying to figure out ways to keep this revenue and use it to fund programs instead of giving rebates; however, Coloradans will have to vote again to make this happen.
