StreetsBlog Denver citied CFI’s study, Tickets to Thrive, in a blog about why A-Line tickets to the Denver International Airport costs $9. The reason behind this is that RTD’s current policy of highly subsidized park-and-rides benefit affluent car owner at the expense of transit-dependent riders. Increasing airport fare and charging for parking at the RTD stations would generate revenue to help fund discounted fares for low-income riders and airport workers.
