Colorado Public Radio quotes CFI on Corporate Responsibility Act
Colorado Public Radio quoted CFI’s communications director Tim Hoover, in a piece about the Corporate Responsibility Act. This bill assesses fees on large corporations, who pay their employees less than $12 an hour and do not provide them with healthcare options, thus reducing the Medicaid costs for the state.
“The problem is not that these families aren’t working hard enough, the problem is that large corporations have constructed business models in which they pay their workers peanuts and then export the cost of providing employees’ health care to taxpayers.”
