CFI’s report, “Share of Low Wage Jobs in Colorado Growing, Putting More Pressure on Taxpayers”, was featured in an article by the Public News Service. More and more jobs in Colorado are paying their employees less than $12 an hour, a wage that CFI defines as low. As a result, these low-wage employees have to rely on Medicaid and food stamps provided through taxpayers’ dollars; dollars that could have been used to fund other state priorities if these wages were higher.
