CFI was featured in a Denver Post story about how tax payers are burdened from Colorado’s large number of low paying jobs. In order to lessen the burden for tax payers, there is consideration of a new bill that would fine or tax large corporations not providing their employees’ healthcare or not paying them high enough wages to afford it themselves. These large corporations like Walmart and McDonalds, would be fined or taxed 50 cents for every hour their employees work for less than $12 an hour without being provided with healthcare options.
