Daily Camera endorses Amendment 70

The Daily Camera cited CFI in a piece discussing why they endorse the passage of Amendment 70, which would raise the state’s minimum wage.

In Colorado, more than 600,000 workers fall below the federal poverty line for a family of four, which was $23,850 a year in 2014, or about $12 an hour. The current minimum wage in Colorado is only $8.31. Amendment 70 would increase the wage to $12 by 2020 and would give workers a better chance at making ends meet. “Raising the minimum wage is the tool before us to lift hundreds of thousands of Colorado workers out of poverty.”
