Denver Post quotes CFI on Senate Bill 118

CFI’s director of tax and legislative policy, Ali Mickelson, was quoted by the Denver Post on her disappointed about the dying of Senate Bill 118. This plan would have allowed Colorado families to plan ahead for college by investing non-taxable money into a not- for-profit state agency called CollegeInvest, also known as 529 plans. This bill was directed toward helping the middle class by giving low-and middle-income families are larger tax break for planning for college.
