Education Weekly quotes CFI on difficulties with projecting marijuana tax revenues

CFI’s Executive Director Carol Hedges, was quoted in a piece by Education Weekly about the difficulties associated with projecting marijuana tax revenues. An original promise to generate $40 million in recreational marijuana taxes to schools, fell short when marijuana taxes only generated $13.3 million in 2014. Since this is new territory, predicting marijuana tax revenue is an inexact science.
