Colorado Independent features CFI in marijuana tax story

Despite popular misconception, Colorado’s marijuana tax is not a solution for Colorado’s budget plights.

The Colorado Independent ran a story featuring CFI fellow Alex Meyer, highlighting how marijuana revenue is only a drop in the bucket compared to a much larger state budget. Although the additional tax dollars may help a few school construction projects and a few other programs here and there, its 1 percent contribution to the state’s general fund is not going to fix our problems.
